IF: Canned: Retro Sci-Fi Robots

Hedgehog and PC23Q

Space going beasts have enlisted robots, such as PC23Q, to overcome their lack of thumbs. The robots can be programmed to tackle difficult tasks such as tying shoes, dealing cards and spreading peanut butter. The laconic PC23Q model is also especially useful when it comes to intergalactic canning and preserving.

At first I thought it was a rat, but I'm glad it's not. Very interesting and different take on the prompt.
