At first, from the thumbnail, I thought the subject looked like Beetle Bailey. And when I saw the full pix, I thought it looked like Dagwood Bumstead. Who looks like my dad, only my dad is dead. Which is not to say your character looks like he's deceased, although floating in the air might give one that sense of separation from the body. Or maybe astral projection. Which might be interesting and really fun, except it also might scare the bejeebers out of you if suddenly find yourself floating above the bed some night. :^D. OK, it's getting past my bedtime and I'm getting slap happy.

Seriously, mick, I like your "Soar" image a lot. You are skilled with the woodblock carving as well as draftsmanship and humor. Great job!

I did a woodblock too, for "Soar," using some really nasty plywood siding, only a little skill and beginner's tools --- and with about the same subject, only a girl one. First woodblock in decades. Such fun!

Mick, you're the master, & I miss talking with you (since I've been lax in posting art lately). So to make up for it, I have a present for you.

TAG!

You're it!

"Here are the rules:
1. Link to your tagger and post these rules on your blog. 2. Share 5 facts about yourself on your blog, some random, some weird. 3. Tag 5 people at the end of your post by leaving their names as well as links to their blogs. 4. Let them know they are tagged by leaving a comment on their blog."

(Melanie (thecreatorspalette) passed it to me, so I'm sharing the fun.) :-);-)

Here's my post on it:

Have fun!

The wood cut makes a very nice texture. What a fun little guy! By the way, I'm in Talyn's ward in Utah. :)
