Granny's Got a Gun: It's Payback!

Frustrated at the slow speed of international internet justice, Mrs. Inspector Fitzgerald is taking matters into her own hands. It's been nearly 18 hours since the dognapping of the as yet unnamed samoyed puppy by a dark, three-legged, bloodthirsty stranger, going by the name "Merlin."

Prince, the not-so-perky samoyed, and father of the missing pup, looks on as Mrs. Inspector Fitzgerald packs a few balogna sandwiches and some "heat" for her long trip south. She's taken the Inspector's service revolver and located Recinto del Pajaro Grande de Ningun Vuelo, California, USA on a map. Diminutive but determined, and hoping she won't have to resort to violence, this is one blue-haired lady "Merlin" will wish he'd never tangled with.

Rex Menaced by an Emu!

The last thing one expects to encounter while patrolling the shores of Pitt Lake in one's striking scarlet serge tunic is Dromaius Novaehollandiae (an Emu). Rex's surprise is quite understandable as he comes face to face with the world's second-largest bird. All the more surprising since Rex knows, from grade four social studies, that the flightless Emu is indigenous to Australia where it is used for its meat, leather and oil. Rex also knows it's futile to attempt to outrun the three-toed behemoth, as it is capable of sprinting at a sporty 50 kph.

Rex, and other fine commodities.

Oliver Standard 88

Josh Harmonieux and Devil Dog Daisy

Somewhere south of Cardston we find the desperate fugitive Josh Harmonieux smuggling Jarts brand lawn darts games across the international border. On December 19, 1988, all lawn darts were banned from sale in the United States by the Consumer Product Safety Commission. This, however, has not impeded an active black market in the deadly yard projectile. Lawn darts have been responsible for the deaths of four children, the latest being in early 1997 near Elkhart, Indiana. With reckless disregard for the safety of American children and beer drinking adults, the charismatic former pugilist and ersatz artist sets out to make a handy profit from the insatiable American demand for hazardous diversions. Harmonieux, accompanied here by the diaper wearing devil dog Daisy (AKA "Happy") is being sought by the RCMP for his "alleged" involvement in several illegal, unsavory and distasteful activities.
